Tina Bose is an experienced educator specializing in the assessment of reading disorders, reading and writing remediation, and structured literacy for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Her teaching strategies are based on research-supported principles and the Orton-Gillingham approach.
Alongside the Director of Teachers College (Columbia University) Reading Specialist program, Tina assists in the professional development course, New Research and Applications for Teaching Reading. She also helped administer a reading remediation clinic, the Dean Hope Center for Education and Psychological Services. She has tutored extensively with the non-profit organization New York Therapy Animals in an animal-assisted reading program. A graduate of one of the top literacy Masters programs in the country, the Reading Specialist program at Columbia University, Tina also completed her BA at Columbia University. Tina lives in New York City with her husband and children, a high schooler at Horace Mann School in Riverdale and a third-year student at the University of Chicago, and her Bichon Frise.
